IOCS Abstracts

01 August 2009: These are abstracts of papers presented at the Indian Ocean Cetacean Symposium, held in Maldives, 18-20 July 2009. The abstract booklet was printed one month ahead of the Symposium. Some presentations for which there are abstracts did not materialise. A couple of other papers were submitted late, and their abstracts are in a separate file.

• No abstract should be cited without the written permission of the author(s). See the separate list of participants for contact details.
• Many of these papers will appear in a peer-reviewed proceedings volume expected out in 2010.
