[Updated on 10-02-2022]

The Maldives Marine Research Institute (MMRI) is excited to announce the fourth Symposium of the biennial Maldives Marine Science Symposium (MMSS) series, to be held at Malé, Maldives and online, on 13th and 14th August 2022. The fourth MMSS will be held as an in-person and online hybrid event, to ensure maximum participation from researchers and public.

We are very pleased that the MMSS series, since its inception in 2016, has contributed immensely to consolidate and share findings from wide range of marine research activities conducted in the Maldives, facilitating interesting and constructive exchange of ideas among peers. We look forward to seeing a wide diversity of research presented at the fourth MMSS that will contribute to sustainable utilization and conservation of our marine resources.

The fourth MMSS will be conducted over two days, with the opportunity to present via oral or poster presentations. We encourage presentations from wide range of marine research topics, such as ecosystem dynamics, fisheries, coral reef ecology, marine conservation, marine biodiversity, climate change, resource utilization, spatial planning, and oceanography.

No fee will be required to submit abstracts or participate in the symposium.
